Position: ACCOUNTING CLERK
 
Job Summary:
 
Continental Construction Company, Inc. is seeking a qualified individual who will handle various accounting tasks at the corporate office in Memphis, Tennessee.
 
Essential Duties:
 
• Assist controller in accounting functions as needed
 
• Main focus will be on Accounts Payable
 
• Post transactions and journals to the general ledger
 
• Reconcile bank statements
 
• Compile and file various state, local and federal taxes (FUTA, SUTA, Withholding etc.)
 
• Assist with year-end audits and filings
 
• Maintain all A/P records and vendor files
 
• Work closely with field personnel to properly receive and process invoices, purchase orders and accompanying paperwork
 
• Check invoices against PO's, get approval and book for payment
 
• Manage corporate credit cards issued and code expenses correctly for payment
  
• Full-time position, benefits, salary
 
Qualifications:
 
• Minimum 3 years in accounting
 
• Excellent computer software skills including Microsoft Excel
 
• Effective communication and problem solving skills
 
• Vista software by Viewpoint knowledge beneficial
 
• Bilingual applicants encouraged to apply

• Experience in the construction field a plus

• Must be at least 18 years of age, pass drug screen and background check
