Position: MILLWRIGHT
 
Job Summary:
 
Perform tasks involving physical labor at heavy construction projects. Install machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, vendor drawings, etc. at industrial plants.
 
Essential Duties:
 
• Follow Daily Procedures and Protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainings and Safety Handbooks. Properly follow OSHA safety procedures.  Bring problems to the attention of the Superintendent or Safety Facilitator.
 
• Reads and interprets blueprints, layout plans, vendor installation and operation manuals and other schematic drawings to determine work procedures
 
• Dismantles machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars and other hand tools
 
• Moves machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers and trucks
 
• Assembles and installs equipment, such as shaffing, conveyors and tram rails, using cranes, hand tools and power tools
 
• Aligns machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers and plumb bobs
 
• Must have knowledge of optical and laser alignments
 
• Assembles machines and bolts, welds or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures using hand tools and power tools.
 
• May use transit and level for equipment setting
 
• Loads, transports and unloads materials, tools, equipment and supplies
 
• Performs lubricating maintenance, cleaning activities, or repair of tools, machines and equipment
 
• Full-time position, benefits, hourly pay
 
Qualifications:
 
• Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in heavy construction work.
 
• Knowledge in mathematics is required.
 
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
 
• Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
 
• Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
 
• Use logical step-by-step procedures in work.
 
• Plan work and select proper tools.
 
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
 
• Able to travel and work overtime (may include nights and weekends).
 
• Must be at least 18 years of age, pass drug screen and background check.

Work Conditions:
 
• Construction site with mobile construction equipment. 
• Outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat, humidity and exposure to building materials and dust.
