Position: CONCRETE FINISHER
Job Summary:
Perform tasks involving physical labor at heavy construction projects. Places concrete then smoothes and finishes surfaces of poured concrete mats, walls, slabs, footings, piers, etc. to specified finish. Rubs, points, and patches concrete surfaces once forms have been stripped.
Essential Duties:
• Follow Daily Procedures and Protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainings and Safety Handbooks. Properly follow OSHA safety procedures. Bring problems to the attention of the Superintendent or Safety Facilitator.
• Places concrete by means of pump, bucket, tremmie, or chute.
• Vibrates concrete during placing operation.
• Levels, screeds, smoothes, and shapes surfaces of freshly poured concrete using screed, straight edge, and floats.
• Rubbing, pointing and patching of concrete surfaces may be required once forms have been stripped.
• Grouting of base plates, equipment, and shear tabs may be required.
• Loads, transports, and unloads material, tools, equipment and supplies.
• Performs maintenance and cleaning of tools, equipment and supplies.
• Full-time position, benefits, hourly pay
Qualifications:
• Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in heavy construction work.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
• Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
• Able to travel and work overtime (may include nights and weekends).
• Must be at least 18 years of age, pass drug screen and background check.

b. Lifting - 50 LB Carrying – 50 LB

Work Conditions:
• Construction site with mobile construction equipment.
• Outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat, humidity and exposure to building materials and dust.
