Position: RODBUSTER
Job Summary:
Perform tasks involving physical labor at heavy construction projects. Lay out, position, tie, and secure steel reinforcing bars in concrete forms prior to concrete placement.
Essential Duties:
• Follow Daily Procedures and Protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainings and Safety Handbooks. Properly follow OSHA safety procedures. Bring problems to the attention of the Superintendent or Safety Facilitator.
• From shop drawings, design drawings or oral instruction, determine location, quantity and size of reinforcing bars required.
• Position and secure in place using tie wire and pliers.
• Use torch or band saw to cut bars to length as required.
• Loads, transports, and unloads material, tools, equipment and supplies.
• Full-time position, benefits, hourly pay
Qualifications:
• Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in heavy construction work.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
• Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
• Able to travel and work overtime (may include nights and weekends).
• Must be at least 18 years of age, pass drug screen and background check.

a. Standing 75% Walking 15% Sitting 10%
b. Lifting - 50 LB Carrying – 50 LB

Work Conditions:
• Construction site with mobile construction equipment.
• Outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat, humidity and exposure to building materials and dust.
