Position: SLIP FORM FOREMAN
 
Job Summary:
 
Perform tasks involving physical labor at vertical slip form construction projects. Construct, fabricate, assemble and disassemble concrete form work of fixtures of metal, wood and other accessories. Working foreman oversees carpenter crew to ensure work is done safely, according to the design drawings, and in a timely fashion.
 
Essential Duties:
 
• Follow Daily Procedures and Protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainings and Safety Handbooks. Properly follow OSHA safety procedures.  Bring problems to the attention of the Superintendent or Safety Facilitator.
 
• Building structures required to the specifications of the job.  Platforms, stairs, concrete forms, framework, temporary frame shelters, etc.
 
• Examine drawings, sketches, building plans and form drawings to determine material required and dimensions of structure or fixture to be fabricated.
 
• Use carpentry hand tools such as levels, squares, plumb bobs, hammers, hand and power saws, adjustable wrenches, drill motors, reciprocating saws, pry bars, etc. Supply of non-electric/pneumatic hand tools is required.
 
• Prepare layout of form or fixture to be fabricated using grades and layout lines. Construct forms, chutes and align form panels for pouring concrete and grout.
 
• Install temporary handrails, stairs and ladders. Erect and dismantle scaffolding.
 
• Ability to tie rebar.
 
• Full-time position, benefits, hourly pay.
 
Qualifications:
 
• Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in vertical slip form construction work.
 
• Knowledge in mathematics is required.
 
• Ability to oversee a carpenter crew.
 
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
 
• Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
 
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
 
• Ability to travel and work overtime (may include nights and weekends).
 
• Must be at least 18 years of age, pass drug screen and background check.

Work Conditions:
 
• Construction site with mobile construction equipment. 
• Outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat, humidity and exposure to building materials and dust.
